Descending for a fun dive into the Atlantic around Tenerife you will find yourself exploring a fascinating world. Temperatures keep around 20°C all year round so it’s always diving season here.

If you are already a certified diver you will appreciate the clear waters and marine life around Tenerife. While some encounters with bigger animals like dolphins, turtles or rays are hard to miss, some might be less obvious as critters like octopus, nudibranches and crabs love to blend in with their surrounding. As guides on your fun dive, we are looking forward to play a little hide and seek game and point them out to you.

The dive sites in Tenerife are accessed both by boat and from the shore. Boats are usally big zodiacs that take you to the site and return to shore for the surface interval. You can either make one dive per day or opt for two or even three dives. 

Prices for fun dives vary depending on the location of the dive center. While areas like Playa des las Americas and Los Cristianos are a bit more expensive and take between 40 and 50€ for a single dive, other areas like Las Galletas will charge between 30 and 40€. Generally prices per dive will decrease the more dives you do. More about how we work and how to choose the dive center here.

What you can discover scuba diving the Atlantic

The waters around Tenerife are full of a variety of fishes and other sea creatures. Due to good visibility which often is around 30-40 m you can easily spot rays, shoal of young barracuda or even dolphins. 

Like the marine life you will swimm around a dramatic landscape formed of volcanos that gave birth to the island. Bizzare formations, swim-throughs and caves will make a lasting impression you hardly find somewhere else.
